Octave experiments

Using the two monochords or a duochord and following the style of Lloyd:

  1. Remove both movable frets, tune both strings to unison, typically at lower C (Lloyd reccomends 240 Hz).
  2. Replace the movable fret to the lower monochord, tune it to the octave above (ca middle C). Measure.
    Hint: Use overtones. See [Lloyd].
  3. Replace the movable fret to the upper monochord, tune it to some random pitch (not too high), tune the lower string to an octave above. Measure.
